I have not been around for a while, and wanted to just let everyone know that I was still alive and breathing ok. I'd love to know thoughts and ideas for the e-zine, as I'll be back on top of that asap (w/ Amy and all the other volunteers of course), and also really would like further input for the zine re-design, which will happen some time in the next few months =).
UC Berkeley is pretty neat so far.. today is the first day of classes, very intense. Two classes so far. First, my spanish 3 class. It is all in spanish - it was a shock, i'm used to some spanish. I havnt taken a class in about 2 years, so I'm going to be reading a lot, to get back into the mix. My linguistics intro class... wow... 200 people in the lecture, and an instructor who is already funny and interesting. His laugh reminds me of Rafiki from 'The Lion King', and coincidentally, he is also from Africa. Speaks Swahili, Kechewe (sp), Shona, Zulu, French and English... very neat guy. He came in wearing blue jeans and a soccer jersey, so very laid back and cool. More on tomorrow's classes.
Also, to check out where i now work, please visit:
www.dailycal.org - its the newspaper for Berkeley/it's surrounding area, and is completely independent. Yay.
All for now.
