I am sorry

Perhaps it is not my fault that the United States is rampaging to war. Perhaps I have done much to try and stop this war- protests, teach-ins, speaking conferences and general education. Yet I will apologize for my country.

The lies of the Bush administration do not just affect policy and domestic concerns, they extend the unjustified aggression of my country in launching a war on Iraq.

I am sorry, I am sorry, I am sorry.

I will not be complacent, I am not sitting down and I will not give up my stance on peace and no this war. I know that there is as much hate to America as there is coming from the bombs and other forms of warfare that the U.S. proliferates. This war feels like terrorism to the innocents who will be killed. I also know that this war is wrong, and that peace can be acheived, perhaps in hundreds of years. During my short existence on this earth, I dedicate my life through a creed I pledge my fellow humans... that of non-violence first and defense when needed. To struggle against opression. I concentrate my integrity and my life to these goals.

I am sorry, world, from a U.S. citizen. Know my tears, as they run down my cheeks right now, are shed for my own people, as well as the many who will be far more harmed by this crime against humanity.

Whinning

sometimes people need to learn to just shut the fuck up and do something. To quite whinning about this or that, a champion of some cause.. and get it done. Perhaps whinning is just a form of articulated procrastination...

I need to take some of my own advice. I should be writing... about the many ideas that I have, whether crackpot or ingenius. But do I? No... I go to school, work two jobs (which i like, but are exhausting), and participate in different activities... but these things are not really truly exploiting my passion to write. Hell, the only class I'm enjoying at school is calculus II... I need more of a challenge. And I need to stop bitching and do something... I have the time, the tenacity and the will. I just need the motivation. Bloody hell.

On the brushstrokes of hope, paints a picture of the future.

In tranquility and peace,

Mike
